Another year of feeling pretty much the same as before. It seems funny how big of a deal birthdays were at younger ages. Particularly how important it was that I was ___ age. These days I either have to think about how old I am when asked, or “I’m 21" as an I’m old enough to drink thing.

Birthdays are a good excuse to get people together though. And I did have a lot of fun this weekend.

Times

There are times to be passive and times for action. I tend to lean towards the passive side most of the time. The closest thing to a New Year’s Resolution I have this year involves the action.

More specifically, there are things I believe, ideals perhaps, that I have never really started living. I cannot quite say why, perhaps because of my past experiences. They are what shape us are they not?

Either way, I will be trying to live a little more in the moment, and taking a more active role in many things in the year to come. Or so I shall try to do anyway.

I have felt like writing a couple blogs since my last one. However I never really got around to them, and now the subjects seem outdated. I am going to try a little harder to write them when I at those times. Not having this weekly thing going this year has made it so easy to just forget about it completely.

In other news, I’m pretty happy these days, so that is good.
